I left Deviant art about a year ago, due to the Dream on/AI debacle, and due to that my main online places where I posted art were Tumblr and Twitter.
But I felt like I was left without a place to post my art that felt really mine, I think what I miss the most was how you could customize your site using the html, all that was gone with Eclipse and even if DA made attemps to let users customize their profiles, it just didn't feel as special anymore.
I think the closest thing is Tumblr with the customizable blog themes, and even that has become a bit difficult to do with recent updates
Until I found out about Neocities! I was inmediately charmed by it, Just got really eager to learn about html and css and to customize an art site like I had back in the day with Old DA
